Opening Prayer

 

The meeting began at 7:34 p.m. with a prayer by Miss Scheer.

 

Miss Scheer

 

-         Thanks everyone who has helped out with the Halloween parties on October 30th.  Stresses that for future events that tickets may not be sold at the door, as funds are needed prior to plan for refreshments, decorations, etc.

 

-         Fourth grade families had previously received letters to advise of their participation in an assessment process.  All assessments will be completed by January 25, 2010.

 

-         Class Representatives are encouraged to check all telephone numbers on their class listings to ensure accuracy.

 

Treasurer’s Report

 

Current balance as of October 31st is $6.945.00 in the checking account, and $1,112.00 in the savings account.

 

Upcoming Events/Updates (Fundraisers):

 

Gift Wrapping Sale – Over $7,000.00 was raised.  The top sellers sold $773.00, 452.50, and $295.00.

 

Barnes & Noble Book Fair – Sunday, Nov. 7th and Monday, Nov. 8th.  Face painting and story telling by students, as well as ornament and Christmas card making.  The online sale of items is extended to Saturday, November 13th.

 

Harvest Bake Sale – Sunday, November 14th.  Wrapped and unwrapped baked items are encouraged, as many take items home (such as full cakes) and, unwrapped items can be eaten at the sale.  A contest/judging of the best baked goods is in the works.  Incentives for winners are NUT cards, and ribbons.

 

Trash & Treasure Sale – The pod is already set up in the schoolyard.  The event is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 20th and Sunday, Nov. 21st.  Volunteers are needed for set-up and for the actual days.  Please see Pat Earl.

 

Secret Santa – Scheduled for December 2nd and 3rd. 

 

Breakfast With Santa – New ideas are being considered for this event.  Details to follow.  Tentatively scheduled for December 11th.

 

Wreath Sale – Usually set for the first week of December.  More details to follow.
